Our Community is multi-generational. One of the primary
responsibilities that we acknowledge is the responsibility to pass on to our
children the faith and beliefs that we have received and live by. To accomplish this, we have
developed a multi faceted ministry to our children, which includes training
and teaching appropriate for the
child's age. We also participate in regional youth related
activities, such as summer camp, YES Retreats and Mission Trips with other
communities of the Sword of the Spirit.
Key Features
The time that we invest in our children will benefit them for years to
come and will positively impact the future of the community.
Our way of life continues as we pass on what we have received to our
children.
Resources
Resources to support the Youth Ministry are found:
In the local community, where teachers prepare lessons for the children
and help them to live the Christian way of life.
In the region, where gifted members from many communities pool their time
and talent to present meaningful teaching and life experiences to our
children.
At the global level, where the wisdom and experience of our brothers and
sisters in other cultures are shared with our children in many ways
How it is lived out
Mission Trips for the High School age members offers them an opportunity
to serve and to experience life in third world situations.
Summer Camps offer the younger children an opportunity to fellowship with
children from other communities while receiving teaching and training in the
Christian way of life, with a focus on the presence and power of the Holy
Spirit.
YES retreats offer teens an opportunity to meet others teens from
different communities for fellowship and training.
