Saint Paul's
Outreach
is an evangelistic and catechetical lay ministry
that serves university students and young adults under the authority of the
Archbishop of Saint Paul and Minneapolis.
Since 1985, Saint Paul's Outreach has presented young adults with the
life-changing power of the Gospel and trained them to live as followers of
Christ within the Catholic Church.
What is SPO?

Saint Paul's Outreach Household's
are centers for Christian living and evangelization. Their main goal is to help students live
their lives fully for Christ. Households provide an environment for students
to grow in their relationship with God, while building up the body of Christ
through daily living in a special Christian environment. They provide an opportunity for spiritual growth,
Christian social life, and service to others.
Prayer is an
essential element to household life. Household members gather several times
a week to pray and intercede with one another. This creates an environment
for members to be people of prayer and have hearts for evangelization.
Fellowship
is lived out in Saint Paul's Outreach Households through having common meals
a few times a week, investing time in each other, encouraging one another and
welcoming others into these houses of Christian charity.
Service is a major component of
our lives in Saint Paul's Outreach Household. There are numerous
opportunities each day to serve through spending time with roommates, doing
weekly chores, caring for guests, helping prepare for outreach events and honoring
other Households.
At present, there are one men's and one women's households near the Ohio
State University campus. Students from several local colleges live in the
households.
